Jane Eyre: An Introduction

The story of Jane Eyre (1847), written by Charlotte Brontë, takes place in London during the early to mid 1800s. This novel has been categorized as everything from a garden variety romance to a feminist tract. Though it is all of these things, it is mostly a romance novel. A very powerful one.
